3 Year Olds...They're On To Something :)

So the other night I went on a babysitting adventure! haha. I watched precious twins, Chloe and Kinley, and their cute little cousin Collins. As I hung out with them, I was continually amazed by their imagination and the way they think the simplest thing is also the most amazing thing ever. They would walk around the house saying "Lets jump!" and then they'd just jump in the air, and then come back down laughing their heads off. It was precious. It made me realize that sometimes we just need to jump in the air, and come back down laughing. Instead of taking ourselves seriously, we need to just be amazed sometimes. I'm a very easily amused and amazed person, and alot of people tell me that I need to get a life, and get out more. But truth is, i love being the way I am. Life is more fun when you laugh at knock knock jokes, and when you think that a toaster has super powers. So join me. This week I challenge you to laugh something off, and be easily amazed by something instead of thinking "so what". This week i challenge you to channel your inner 4 year old, and have a blast with it!

Man's Best Friend

So Thursday, July 2nd was supposed to be an amazing day for me. Because I got my braces off, and that was totally exciting. But just as we were leaving the orthodontist...we get a call that one of my doggies (Lizzie...the other one's name is Roscoe) is missing. So long story short, we searched and searched and put tons of signs up. 3 days went by and we really didn't think we were going to get her back. Well, last night, we were at some friends house...and my mom gets a call. Someone has Lizzie. So we sped our way to McDonalds (the meeting place) and got our baby girl back. I was sooo happy. Lizzie is a special dog...she loves everybody. Shes Zach's playmate, Mom's cuddle buddy, Dad's bundle of happiness, and My best friend (hehe). So when we got her back, we were all so excited.
While she was gone, we all had to keep reminding ourselves that we hadn't lost a relative, and that alot of people around us are going through some pretty rough times. But when she was gone, it felt like we lost a family member. Because we did. If you have dogs you love, you understand what I mean. There's just something about them that warm your heart and put a smile on your face. Maybe it's the way they cock their head to the side, kiss your nose, or seem to just be screaming "pet me! pet me! im cute!". There's something about them that make us fall in love with them, something about them that just breaks our hearts. A dog can be your friend, your running buddy, or just a companion to you watch movies with. Great Dane, Beagle, Golden Retriever, Cockapoo...and everything in between....Dogs really are man (and womans!) best friend.

Dressing Up

So, two nights ago I had a friend over to spend the night (Celena). We were sitting in my room about 2:00 AM and wanting something fun to do. So, we just started taking pictures with funny faces and just being silly and stuff. Then, we started dressing up with random items of clothing in my room. We took pictures of being super stars....emo kids...cow girls...and more. We had a blast. Now, I bet you're like "I don't really care what you and your friend did spending the night together"...but I promise there's a point to the story!
It doesn't matter how old you are, or how "cool" you are...you are never to old or to cool to play dress up with your friends and have a silly photo shoot. Some of life's greatest times come when you act younger than you really are...when you don't care what you look like...and when you just laugh at the simplest things. So sometime within the next week, I challenge you to have some fun doing something you haven't done in a long time. Play dress up, run through a sprinkler, or blow bubbles...be a kid. I don't care if you're 19 or 62. You never know what you might get out of it :).

With Love and Laughter,
Kellee

Doggy Tails

So, the other day, I was petting one of my poochies, Lizzie. Her tail was going a mile a minute...and the thought occured to me... "Do dogs wag their tail on purpose or do they have a happy sensor in their tails?". You know what I'm saying? Like is it like a human's smile, completely voluntary, or is it like an involuntary movement? Is there a sensor in our doggie's tails that knows when the dog is happy...so the tail wags? This is a question I ask myself constantly...does anyone have any thoughts on this? Happy Sensors In Dog Tails...the world may never know.
